The interface between the capital project and turnaround teams has historically been one of the most difficult to manage, and is even more critical when large projects are involved. That’s where the Integrated Turnaround Assist Program (iT-AP) comes in. The iT-AP is an evolution of the Industry-standard Turnaround Assist Program (T-AP), created to address head-on the risks arising from large capital projects executed during the turnaround window. Our innovative process provides assurance that best practices are being implemented to generate safe, event-free, predictable, and competitive outcomes when a turnaround is being executed in conjunction with a significant amount of capital project work.

The iT-AP focuses equally on the status of the capital project and the turnaround. Like the T-AP, the iT-AP is comprised of four on-site engagements, each of which can be contracted for individually by a client site. The AP-Canada teams who administer these engagements are comprised of both project and turnaround experts. With considerable experience not only in leading individual projects and turnarounds, but in successfully integrating project and turnaround planning and execution efforts, there’s no one better to help usher your event to a successful outcome.

Industry performance for large projects executed during the shutdown window has been especially poor, with very few meeting their planned goals. Our team works closely with site staff at all planning and preparation stages to identify risks, mitigate those major risks that threaten meeting key objectives, and strengthen integration and alignment.

iT-AP engagements are structured around four major points during the turnaround life cycle, and provide value across the entire enterprise by:
