Rich Peltier is a Subject Matter Expert with Asset Performance Networks, reporting to the company’s Houston office. Rich works as a part of the Capital Project Consulting group, where he is dedicated to helping clients enhance performance outcomes on capital projects. Rich works to provide comprehensive solutions by helping clients address their project challenges from several angles, including people, process, and behavior/culture. He brings a wealth of knowledge with him, including a thorough understanding of the unique challenges and risks inherent in large projects.
Rich possesses more than 30 years of experience working with BP and Amoco in the refining and petrochemical industries. This experience includes nine years in a senior leadership position in which he was tasked with the development and execution of one of the largest downstream projects in the U.S. refining industry. He has held several other senior leadership positions, with responsibilities including operations management at a petrochemical manufacturing site, consulting on project work process improvements within a corporate central engineering function, and developing new international venture development projects. While in the role of operations manager, Rich was the gatekeeper for a large portfolio of capital projects and maintenance turnarounds. As a senior consultant in a worldwide corporate central engineering function, he worked to develop a corporate core work process for capital projects, and a competency development and selection process for project managers.
Rich holds a bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering from Texas A&M University. He has also completed several leadership and executive development programs throughout his career in the oil and gas industry.
