Alan Cajueiro is a Consultant with Asset Performance Canada, based out of the company’s office in Calgary, Alberta. Over the course of his career in mining, Alan has honed his skills in maintenance optimization, reliability engineering, project management, and operational strategy. With experience in both engineering and management, Alan brings a holistic perspective to his role as a consultant.
Prior to joining AP-Canada, Alan served as the Owner and Principal Consultant of a company specializing in the optimization of maintenance and operation functions. Before this, he worked as the Operational Readiness Manager of a major mining company. In this role, he was responsible for the development and management of operational readiness and integrated shutdown planning for mine, plant, pipeline, and filtering. He was also charged with ensuring optimal safety, operability, and maintainability in project execution, and with the development and implementation of a maintenance system for the company.
Earlier in his career, Alan worked as a Maintenance Engineer in the iron ore mining department of a major mining company. His responsibilities included leading the review of maintenance plans and procedures, performance assessment, routine and shutdown planning (Port and Beneficiation Plant), coaching and advisory, and the optimization of supply chain logistics.
Alan holds a post-graduate degree in Maintenance Engineering from Pontifical Catholic University of Minas Gerais in Brazil. He also holds a degree in Industrial Electrical Engineering and an Electrotechnical Technician certification from Centro Federal de Educação Tecnológica de Minas Gerais in Brazil.
