June 15 – 16, 2017 | New Orleans, LA

In June, Asset Performance Networks (AP-Networks) will once again serve as a Gold Sponsor of the 2017 Downstream Engineering, Construction & Maintenance (DECM) conference in New Orleans. The conference, held this year from June 15-16, has long been known for in-depth discussion and thought-provoking presentations. In addition to serving as an event sponsor, AP-Networks is proud to have speakers taking part in both the Major Projects and the Shutdowns & Turnarounds conference tracks.

Dan Morlang will speak as part of the Major Projects track. His presentation, “Implementing an Agile Work Process: Moving Beyond Stage Gate – The Next Generation of the Capital Project Work Process”, will show how companies can reduce cycle time and improve assurance through the implementation of an agile work process. Dan is the Vice President of Capital Project Consulting for AP-Networks. He possesses more than 35 years of diverse experience consulting on project management issues.

Chris Miller will speak as part of the Shutdowns & Turnarounds track. His presentation, “Turnaround Scope Benchmarking, the True Leading Indicator to Competitive Outcomes”, will delve into scope competitiveness as a function of unit technology and unit capacity. Chris will discuss AP-Networks’ methodology for evaluating scope competitiveness—and therefore turnaround competitiveness—prior to scope freeze. Chris is a consultant with AP-Networks. He joined the company after serving as a Nuclear Power Submarine Officer in the U.S. Navy, where he gained a reputation for training and developing high performing teams.

About 2017 Downstream Engineering, Construction & Maintenance

Controlling capital costs, managing risk and dramatically improving project performance in the current market environment will take more than adopting new technology and best practices. These issues underscore the need to identify solutions and strategies “as an industry;” no single person or company can do this alone. We need to come together to create an environment in which experience and learning can be shared across job roles and projects with a view to create an industry that is leaner, faster and more effective. The Downstream Engineering Construction & Maintenance show will be that forum. You can register here.
